Alger Consulting is led by Derek Alger, an operational systems and infrastructure professional with close to three decades of experience across IT, OT, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology operations.

More than fifteen of those years were spent working directly in the power sector, including significant experience with operational technology and SCADA systems, responsibility for critical operational infrastructure, and work spanning the full lifecycle from identifying organizational needs through procurement, implementation and operational support.

His experience includes leading operational teams and critical systems, managing infrastructure, budgets and vendors, and delivering technology initiatives from identified need through implementation and operational handoff.
